Located 2.3 miles from Gainesville High School, in the heart of the City of Gainesville, Bobby Gruhn Field at City Park Stadium is the home venue of Red Elephant football and soccer.
The field at City Park Stadium was named in 1985 for Gainesville football's longest-tenured and winningest coach, Bobby Gruhn, who led the Red Elephants from 1954-1992 and amassed a 156-103 record.
A state-renowned site for high school football that's been serving Gainesville High School and the Gainesville community since the early 1900s, City Park Stadium has been enduring an all-encompassing renovation since 2022.
The new construction will bring double the seating capacity to 6,000 and include new ticket booths, arched entryways, paddock on the side of home entry, concessions areas, bathrooms; and a new Walt Snelling Press Box that is two stories and comes complete with suites and ample room for media, coaches, and gameday operations.

Gainesville High School baseball has called Ivey-Watson Field home since 1986. Located on the shores of Lake Lanier, Ivey-Watson is recognized statewide as not only a unique and picturesque venue, but one of the best high school home fields, due in large part to the Red Elephant baseball's proud tradition of excellence reflected in the program's seven state championships.
Built on 25 acres of land donated by Lee Waldrip (matching an already-existing federal land grant), Ivey-Watson Field is named for Ted Ivey and Drane Watson.
Ivey was instrumental in developing the baseball talent that made GHS a state-playoff stalwart as a Little League and American Legion coach. He was the Red Elephants pitching coach from 1981 until his death in 1987. Watson coached GHS to its first state title in 1949, after leading the Red Elephants to finals appearances in 1947 and 1948. He also helped organize Gainesville's Little League program in 1952.

Davis-Hill Gym is located on the campus of Gainesville High School and is home to Red Elephant women's and men's basketball.
Built in 2000 as part of a reconstruction of GHS, Davis-Hill Gym was first known as the "new gym," as it shared the campus with its predecessor, home of Big Red basketball from 1960-2000.
Another reconstruct of the GHS campus began in 2020, giving way to the demolition of the 1960-built gym and a new name for the 20-year-old "new gym:" the "Alumni Gym." In 2024, the Gainesville City School Board voted to change the gym's name for a third and likely final time, allowing the home of Red Elephant basketball to honor the programs' greatest coaches: Jerry Davis and Manson Hill.
Davis led the men's program for 28 years, retiring in 2008 as the second-winningest active coach with 701 victories. During his tenure, Gainesville won 11 Lanierland titles, 24 subregion and region championships, made the state quarterfinals 12 times and the state semifinals eight times, and earned back-to-back state championships in 1982 and 1983.
Hill, who retired in 2011, headed up the Gainesville women's program for 22 years, amassing 452 wins. He led the Lady Red Elephants to 10 region titles, 15 state playoff appearances, six state semifinals, and four state championships.

Opened in the Fall of 2023 and built as part of a complete reconstruction of Gainesville High School's campus, the Student Activities Center (SAC) is not only the home of Red Elephant volleyball and wrestling, but the hub of Gainesville athletics.
The 93,000-square foot, three-level SAC includes an office and meeting space for each GHS athletic program, a media room, multi-purpose gym with an elevated track, players' lounge, and an athletics nutrition center.
While Bobby Gruhn Field at City Park is where Red Elephant football plays its home games, the true home of the program is the second floor of the Student Activities Center with offices and meeting spaces for every coach and position group, and immense locker room space for the players.
Situated beside Gainesville High School's open-air football practice field and pavilion, the SAC also houses the GHS JROTC and band programs providing offices, meeting and rehearsal spaces, storage, and an air rifle range with moving targets.

The weight room serving Red Elephant athletes on the campus of Gainesville High School is a newly-renovated, state-of-the-art facility.

To best serve GHS student-athletes, the latest technology and equipment in strength training is used including massive telelvision screens to help with the delivery of the workout program. Perch VBT systems for the racks to help track bar speed and bar path during lifting, and Catapult, which is used for GPS data during cross country and football practice.
