HOMER - Gainesville volleyball is 6-1 in its last seven matches thanks to a good showing in the Queen of the Court tournament over the weekend and two straight-set wins in a tri-match Tuesday at Banks County High School.

The Red Elephants beat the host Leopards 25-11, 25-17 before turning their attention to Franklin County, which they beat in short order 25-15, 25-9.

Taylor Reid led GHS with 12 kills while Kyndall Butler added 10. Pren McGarvey earned 17 digs and Harper Orr 37 assists.

Gainesville returns to action Wednesday in a tri-match at Jefferson where Big Red will take on the Dragons and North Oconee.
