GAINESVILLE - In four straight losses ahead of Gainesville softball's game against Central Gwinnett, the Red Elephants scored a combined four runs.

On Monday, Big Red broke their scoring drought in a big way and in doing so stopped their losing streak as well besting the Black Knights 14-5 (5 inn.).

Judea Hawks and Whitlyn Terrell led the way for Gainesville as Hawks went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Terrell hit a three-run triple.

Nashya Barnett and Jenae Garrett each contributed two hits and two RBIs for Big Red while Maya Silva picked up the complete-game win.

Gainesville returns to action at home Tuesday as it welcomes in region opponent Roswell; first pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
