GAINESVILLE - Red Elephant volleyball picked up its second Region 7-5A win Tuesday in killer fashion, downing Lanier 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 25-23).

Sarai Nicholas (pictured) led Big Red (15-8, 2-1) with 10 kills while Jaylah Mintz and Louisiana-Monroe commit Taylor Reid had nine each.

Prentice McGarvey had 34 assists for Gainesville and Lily Grace Clay had 23 digs.

The Red Elephants return to action at 6:00 p.m. Thursday as they host East Forsyth in the Student Activities Center on the campus of Gainesville High School.
