GAINESVILLE - Senior Finley O'Callaghan hit two home runs and had five RBIs to lead Gainesville to a 15-3 (4 inn.) senior night win over West Hall on Monday.

The win in their final home game (Gainesville lost to Lanier to wrap up the season on Oct. 7) gave the Red Elephants (10-10) the program's best season since 2015 when the team finished 11-19, a fitting end considering that Gainesville started 2025 not only undefeated, but having won the most games through a season's first four since 2014. The team's two region wins this year, both against Chattahoochee, were also the most for a Gainesville softball team since that 2015.

O'Callaghan, Jenae Garrett, and Mayleigh Gonzalez each had three hits on the night for Big Red. Gonzalez had two singles, a double, and three RBIs while Garrett had two singles and a triple.

Nashya Barnett and Judea Hawks each had two hits with Barnett also driving in two runs.

Maya Silva once again got the win for Gainesville. In four innings pitched she gave up eight hits while striking out five.
