GAINESVILLE - Girls wrestling continued its area dominance Friday beating Jackson County on the friendly home mats in the Student Activities Center to win a third-straight Area 8 championship.

The girls move on to host Richmond Hill Thursday in a state duals qualifier; action begins at 5:30 p.m.

In the boys region duals Saturday at Lanier the Red Elephants finished second; beating Chattahoochee, Lanier, and Roswell (they lost to Seckinger in the finals) en route to a second-straight team state qualification.
