GAINESVILLE - After opening the 2026 0-2, Red Elephant girls lacrosse took any frustrations festering in the wake of its winless start out on opponent No. 3.
Big Red scored its first goal 11 seconds into the match, maintaining a relentless attack pace throughout the first half en route to an 11-0 halftime lead that turned into a 12-2 route of Collins Hill Thursday night at City Park.
Senior Finley O'Callaghan led the charge with six goals while junior Harper Everett (pictured) scored three. Amberly Lopez, Laura Bautista, and Maryi Figueroa rounded out the scoring with one goal each.
Illana Brendle was stellar in goal racking up a 77% save percentage with seven on the night.
Girls lacrosse plays its next two matches at home, Monday at 5:30 p.m. against McDonough and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. against Darlington.
