After falling to eventual gold bracket champion Brookwood in their Queen of the Court tournament opener at Apalachee on Saturday, Red Elephant volleyball reeled off three-straight wins to earn the silver bracket title.
Gainesville beat Winder Barrow (25-16. 25-19) post-Brookwood to make it into the silver bracket, then topped Oconee County (18-25, 25-19, 15-12) and Prince Avenue Christian (25-13, 28-26) to win the silver bracket.
Leading the way for Big Red on the day was senior Avery Lindsey who had 69 assists, 22 digs, 14 kills, and six aces. Fellow senior Hannah Stewart had 28 kills while sophomore Prentice McGarvey had 44 digs. Junior Kyndall Butler had 20 kills, 13 digs, and two aces. Senior Kailyn Haven added 16 kills for Gainesville (4-4) which returns to action Tuesday at Winder-Barrow.
