Facing a 4-2 deficit heading into the fourth inning, Gainesville softball scored 15 unanswered runs to beat Cedar Shoals 17-4 (5 inn.) in Athens on Monday, securing its third win of the young season.
The 15 Red Elephant funs came on 14 hits.
Led by Brilee Keppinger's four hits and three runs scored, and Finley O'Callaghan's three hits and four RBIs, each player in the Red Elephants' lineup scored multiple runs and all but one player earned an RBI.
Softball returns to the road Tuesday to take on Berkmar; first pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
